Spinal cord stimulation is a procedure that uses an electrical current to mask the perception of chronic pain. A small generator is implanted in the back that sends electrical pulses to the spinal nerves.
Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation uses low voltage, electrical currents to relieve pain.
